Social
ZBT has one of the most active social schedules of any fraternity at Wisconsin. It's almost a given that there'll be a structured event every week or weekend.
Each year we throw ZBTahiti, a nation-wide, tropical party, one of the best college parties.
We have frequent social events with sororities.
ZBT hosts an elegant formal dinner/dance at Madison's finest each spring.
We also have weekly "Brotherhood Development" events, when brothers come together as a group and relax, play poker, watch sports games (heated rivalries are particularly entertaining), and take trips bowling and to restaurants off-campus.
Philanthropy
ZBT is thoroughly involved in social welfare projects every year. Recently:
- Ben and Jerry's night, donating 25% of the proceeds to charity
- Bellringers for the Salvation Army
- Campus-wide philanthropy projects, such as Project Give, collecting food items from the Madison community for the needy
Greek Community Involvement
ZBT has a great reputation of community involvement and participation in the UW Greek Community.
- Won the homecoming competition two consecutive years running.
- Heavily involved in philanthropy projects with other fraternities and campus sororities.
- Served on, with distinction, in Greek Community committees, including IFC and All Greek Judicial Board.
Excellence in Community Involvement

Academic
ZBT has had the highest fraternity GPA for 5 semesters running, since Spring 2006. Our brothers strive to attain one of the top GPAs every semester and have found great success.
Our Academic Advisor heads an academic program dedicated to assuring brothers' academic welfare. ZBT offers in-house, personalized guidance and assistance for underclassmen, and connections between brothers in the same major are facilitated. We specialize in preparing our new members for course registration, ensuring that they start the right path to their majors. Our brothers study a great number of diverse subjects, including economics, history, business, rhetoric, engineering, philosophy, mathematics, political science, international area studies, and biology. As a whole, Zeta Beta Tau consistently ranks among the top fraternities for grade point average, earning the highest fraternity semester GPA in Spring 2006. Recently, University of Wisconsin-Madison ZBT brothers have gone on to attend top law, medical, and graduate schools across the country.
